Staff + Governance
At The Woodlands at Stowe, we are family. Our staff members are committed to your comfort, security, and well-being while respecting your privacy and independence. We are here to ensure you are as active and are engaged as much as you wish.
With the goal to remain active members of the community, the staff at The Woodlands is here to help you make that happen.
The residents and staff make this a special community by caring for and supporting each other, which we believe sets us apart from other independent living communities.
Our Team
The team at The Woodlands includes:
Ruthie Adams
Site Manager
Ruthie is a native Vermonter who has been part of the hospitality industry for most of her career. At The Woodlands, she feels fortunate to bring her many years of experience to this beautiful hidden jewel tucked behind the ledges in Stowe.
A true lover of good food and an accomplished baker, sharing her treats with family and friends is part of her love language. Offering warmth and community to all those who enter the doors of The Woodlands is one of the things she is most passionate about.
A single mom with a beautiful daughter, she resides in Barre with her two kitties, Maizie and Milo. Her favorite snack… popcorn! She loves to read (or mostly listen), travel dirt roads, bake, and spend time with her family and friends.
Jenn Lindorff
Resident Advocate & Activities Coordinator
Jenn brings a warm, people-first approach to her work, drawing on a strong background in education and customer support. Originally from Vermont, she spent over a decade living and growing in Minneapolis, Minnesota, before returning home to her New England roots. In her professional life, she focuses on clear communication, kindness, and building real connections with others.
Outside of work, Jenn loves spending time with her family. She manages a happy, busy household alongside her husband, their twins, their dog, and rabbit. She is also an avid traveler who loves exploring new places around the world in search of the best coffee and pastries.
No matter where her work or adventures take her, Jenn thrives on creating welcoming spaces, helping others feel supported, and bringing a genuine smile to everything she does.
Gale Martin
Office Assistant & Head Housekeeping
Gale has worked as Office Assistant and Head Housekeeping Services at The Woodlands since we opened 27 years ago. Her goal each day is to help each resident in any way she can.
She has lived in Lamoille County her entire life and in her spare time enjoys gardening, outdoor activities, reading and spending time with her three grandchildren.
LeeAnna Chaves
SOUS CHEF/UTILITY WORKER
LeeAnna has been part of Copley since 2008, both at the hospital and here at The Woodlands and is a bit of a jack-of-all-trades. She is an invaluable member of the team, you will find LeeAnna at the front desk, in the kitchen and helping out wherever necessary. In her free time, you can find her with her beloved Pomeranian, Charlie, and collecting Magna. LeeAnna lives a quiet life and prefers to be with her four-legged friends in her home in North Hyde Park.
Melinda Dickson
Executive Chef
Melinda is an accomplished chef with degrees in culinary arts and restaurant management and is thrilled to be part of the team at The Woodlands.
She’s the mother to one son and a native of Pennsylvania but has called Vermont home for the last 15-plus years. A lover of the snow and snowboarding, Melinda taught one of her favorite past times, snowboarding, at Stowe for 10 years.
