Staff + Governance

Staff + Governance

At The Woodlands at Stowe, we are family. Our staff members are committed to your comfort, security, and well-being while respecting your privacy and independence. We are here to ensure you are as active and are engaged as much as you wish.

With the goal to remain active members of the community, the staff at The Woodlands is here to help you make that happen.

The residents and staff make this a special community by caring for and supporting each other, which we believe sets us apart from other independent living communities.

The very competent staff is totally dedicated to the well-being of all residents. We frequently invite friends to join us for a wonderful dinner or Sunday brunch always served in a delightful presentation. We invite you to explore all of the many amenities and activities offered at The Woodlands.”

David & Joy Richards, Residents

“We came just to inquire about The Woodlands on a Friday and were ready to purchase on Monday. The unit is so spacious and light with lots of large windows that we had not seen anywhere else we looked. The location is off the main route into Stowe, so it is quiet but within easy walking distance of the town and all the amenities. We are delighted with our choice. We keep encouraging our friends to come join us and they are!”

Mike & Marion Moore, Residents

“If you are looking for a place to retire, you should consider The Woodlands at Stowe. The apartments are spacious and well cared for with many onsite amenities, plus activities through our full-time Activities Coordinator, responsive service by our handyman, access to management through our Residence Council of tenants and, best of all, a professionally prepared meal daily.”

Herschell Murry, Resident

“I moved into my roomy, sunny apartment almost three years ago and enjoy peace and quiet. The staff is caring; they understand the different needs of a diverse group of residents and are always helpful. I have made new, interesting friends, I have learned from free lectures and demonstrations, I have joined a poetry and a book club, enjoy getting together with people to discuss “current events” and I play indoor and outdoor games.”

Adi Barnett

“We have made many new friends and we are involved in many new activities here. Some days we barely leave our unit and other days we spend time running errands and visiting with friends and family. The scenic tours offered by The Woodlands have been enjoyable and have introduced us to this stunningly beautiful area of Vermont!”
